The T.E.A. also determined that the LRT option is also the most economical - providing the most transportation for the most people for the least pollution and the lowest cost of building when compared with subways and buses.

Since I believe that well functioning public transportation systems are essential for life in contemporary cities it is only great news to see Toronto coming with new solutions... I hope new mayor Ford will pay more attention to this issue, growing suburbs definitely need good connection with the city centre, if we want to avoid traffic jams.
